American History
So yesterday I had written one of my longest posts in forever about genetics. I guess today I'll at least write a decent-size post on American History.
Contrary to what happens in my Genetics class (me paying attention and enjoying myself) something quite different happens in myAm. History class. I really don't pay that much attention. It's just sooo long, and I can't focus. I mean for the first maybe 30 minutes I can follow, but for the next hour I stop paying attention pretty much and just doodle in my agenda. (Personally I love my agenda. If I didn't have it I have no clue what I'd do in my spare time.) Needless to say, I'm not a History kinda girl. I know the whole having to learn history thing is because we don't wanna repeat it again. But seriously those people that actually believe that it works (you know.. the learning the history stops the repitition thing) are completely and absolutely dillusional. Seriously. Because no matter what big mistake happened, there is at least 1million people out there that believes that mistake wasn't a mistake. For example:
The Holocaust.. neo-nazis totally believe that it was a good idea and that the Jews really were bad and lesser and deserved to be purged. What happens when somebody with that belief rises to power (oh and there's no doubt it will sometime eventually) yes.. well another Holocaust.
History is so ridiculous. I haven't learned anything of importance in the class yet, except for the things in the news we touch on briefly. I do realize that "news" is technically "History" because it's already in the past. But it isn't really "History". More or less they might as well have given me a "current events" class and have that be what we should take. There is no doubt that that class has to be more important. Period. If you took a current event class you would be able to identify things happening today, and then compare it to what happened in the past. Make sense? It should. Then when you have compared the current event and the event in history, you can find out why that current event is good or bad. Eventually you'd find the pattern and be able to try and fix things. I'm not getting anything accomplished in History class when all I learn is that Yes, Thomas Payne wrote "Common Sense" when I don't even apply it to what's going on today. Maybe possibly apply it to why the Patriot Act is unconstitutional/constitutional (depending on how you view it).
Maybe I'm just really ignorant, you know? Maybe all of my opinions are just wrong and I'm stupid. Really, it's highly possible. When I think about it, what do I really know? That's right, I really don't know much at all. I could make an argument right now, but there could be several hundred different things people could argue back and I would have no clue what to respond with. Personally, I don't really like our gov't at the moment but when I argued with my dad over it, and he asked what government I would like I said "France/Germany" You know, more of a socialism, right? Well, just in.. France is having a country-wide epidemic of people rioting and setting fire to cars (yes, cars). Yes, they're rioting their government saying their government is corrupt. I mean, of course if something like that happened in US today.. the rioters would get tear gassed/shot or even killed and called "terrorists". Sent to Egypt to have tortured and questioned until admitting they actually were terrorists. Tell me something good about our government, please? Tell me, when you think back on the depression and who was president during the depression (Hoover) tell me that you like Hoover and thought he was a good president. And if you can tell me that, then ONLY THEN you could tell me that you like Bush and what our Congress is doing to our nation.
Of course, I'm probably wrong and you all think that I'm stupid. But I don't really care. I'm not going into life to be a politician. I'm going into life to be a Surgeon. BIIIIG Difference if you ask me. BIG. So yes.. Maybe Bush is really a good president and I just don't know anything. Maybe Scooter Libby (Vice Presidents Chief Advisor) writing a book that has excerpts containing descriptions of beastiality is really a good guy to have you know CONTROLLING OUR GOVERNMENT? Oh, and if you by any chance didn't know what beastiality was... It's humans having sexual intercorse with things not considered Humans, "Animals or.. Beasts". Yes, sounds like a guy that is completely normal. No reason to suspect him of being completely insane and repulsive and MESSED UP IN THE MIND!
But, I should stop now before I get my own personal file in the FBI headquarters. Because who knows, I might just start a riot! Apparently that's how some Frenchies did it. They posted blogs planning their attacks. Cool huh? So yes, I'll stop now.. maybe go back to my original subject...
In American History I doodle a lot, you know things in my agenda like, "I hate school..", "Kill me now", you know.. those kinda things. Then I'll draw little flowers all over the blood that I drew under the "Kill me now" very cute, right? RIGHT? But yeah, I have nothing else to really talk about.. so I'll just go.. G'night!
