Bloody Winter

Okay, so I knew it was snowing and that the roads were bad. This is why I decided I'd leave for work a whole hour early, even though on normal days without snow it only takes me 20 minutes. Yes, well NO MATTER, it did not help a bit. Half-way to Hayesville I got stuck in a ditch. Not an ordinary stuck, a "YES Mom, I'm stuck.. My rear right-wheel tire is a few feet off the ground.." Of course two minutes after I told her that she asked me if I had tried to get out of the ditch. "YEAH MOM I, WANT TO KILL MY CAR, did you not hear me say that half of it isn't even touching the ground anymore???" And before I get questioned about it. To your dismay, I'm fine. No injuries. To my non-dismay.. My car is OKAY. NOT EVEN A SCRATCH!! Of course I started skidding about 100 feet from where I actually landed in the ditch and had time to slow down (because I'm at least that good at driving in the snow..) Now before you judge my driving skills.. Let me tell you this. There was already an accident on the same curve where I was. IT WAS A MALE DRIVER (so ha, no more stereotyping female drivers towards me, buddy) Oh, and they had taken out a Chevron sign. I had missed all signs, trees, and other vehicles.

Anyways, I wasn't too scared or anything, just reeally pissed off.
1-It was snowing, and windy, and bloody cold. So I'm out waiting in the cold trying to figure out what to do.
2- I was by myself, I ended up sitting in the other person's car who had hit the sign, because of course.. My car didn't seem like fun to sit in. There were two guys, so I was kinda scared (I'm sorry for being mean against guys, I realize not all guys are out to rape women and such.. but still it's something moms instill upon their daughters. That if you get in a car with males, they're going to rape you.. Hard to overcome this dread..)
3- I had to talk to my insurance provider who is stationed somewhere in Nevada, because my mom has had so many accidents nobody around here will provide for her anymore.. So of course explaning to them where I was happened to be quite the taks. Then of course I ended up not even using their towing service. Because.. well.. It was only going to take 3 mf'ing hours... 3!!!! I ended up getting towed out by some towing service from Hayesville. 50bucks.. but HEY, that's what insurance is for (not for making me talk to them for about an hour in the bloody snow freezing my toes off for nothing)
4- I was on my way to work. Work= MONEY=Stuff=Happy Laura. Needless to say I didn't attempt to drive the rest of the way, I didn't want to die or actually hurt my car. I'd say I was extremely Lucky that my car was in no way at all harmed. So, properties of snow= Really slippery makes you drive into ditches, and really cushiony, prevents your car from looking like it fell off a building sideways.
5- Today was my day to work with my best friend, TOGETHER. We were actually going to be working together on the register. Did I mention TOGETHER?

Oh, and aside from me landing in a ditch. Want to hear something funny?(this relates to number 5) Charlie drove into a ditch too!!! Is that not crazy? Needless to say, hearing this made me feel better. I know it's horrible because nobody wants to get stuck in a ditch. Just ask me, it sucks.. But.. Hearing that someone you know did it too, a couple hours apart just makes you feel like it wasn't all your fault. That really, the roads were BAD. Oh, and let me inform you.. Charlie was fine also.. and so was her car. All good circumstances. All good stories later on in life, right?

Well, track season starts TOMORROW. No doubt it had to snow like the dickens just before the first day. I'm so out of shape. I haven't even tried to eat healthy, either. I had about 8 chocolate chip cookies today, and 10 yesterday. (BUT) Hopefully I can get into shape. Mostly because I think coach is kinda depending on me. Apparently I'm going to be the only hurdler next year.. =\ Well, at least I won't have to go to Monday's and Wednesday's practice, because I have Academic Challenge!! =D

Anways, I'm going to go.. I do believe I was long over-due for a new blog entry. This is it. Sorry if you had been pleased with my lack of blogs. I just had to do it. Something about driving into a ditch, and then freezing out in the snow.. It just makes me want to blog!

I'M glad you were okay, AND I'm glad that you didn't get raped by the guys in the car. But, in their defense... you are really attractive, it's not guys' faults for that. Oh, and sorry for supplying you with all of those cookies, my bad. I had a fun weekend with the best chick ever! (You better practice Wario Woods for next weekend!)
